Configure Store

The store settings are important features that should be reviewed and configured before categories and products are created.  The changes you make here will affect many of the features in AbleCommerce.

Store settings are applied globally.  They can change the display of date and time, units of measurement, or your store name.  You can enable inventory management and customize your in-stock and out-of-stock messages.  The store settings also give you control over the order numbering.  

If your store requires it's customers to accept terms and conditions before entering or placing orders, then the store settings menu can easily accommodate such a feature.

The store settings menu should be one of your first visits to the AbleCommerce merchant administration.

  • Image Settings - Set default sizes for images that are used for products.

  • Checkout Settings - Choose how you want to accept orders and enable guest checkout.

  • Subscription Settings - Add a Recurring Orders (AutoShip) feature for subscription products. NEW in R7

Find the Configure Store page

  1. Mouse-over the Configure menu item and then select Store > General

  2. This will bring you to the Configure Store page.
