Export WorldShip® Data

AbleCommerce is integrated with UPS WorldShip® to automate the process of entering your shipments and recording tracking numbers.  Before using this feature, you should have already downloaded and installed the WorldShip® program to your computer.

You can select and export products for WorldShip® by filtering your order shipment information. [New in R5]

Filter and Export Products for WorldShip®

  1. From the Data > Export > UPS Worldship® Export page, use the form to setup your search criteria for the products that will be exported for use in WorldShip®.

  2. Use the fields to find orders to export, and use the options to setup the file created for the export.  Only orders with valid shipments will be available for export.

  3. In the optional File Tag field, you can use your own naming conventions for the exported file.

  4. Select your orders using a date range by using the Order Date fields from and to.  Click in the field to add your custom date range.

  5. You can also select an order range.  Enter a single order number, or your order numbers separated by a comma, or enter a range using a hyphen.  (e.g. 1-10)

  6. Use the Order Status selection if you want to find only orders with the status selected here.

  7. The checkbox to only Include UPS Shipments is checked by default.  You can uncheck this box to include all shipment types.

  8. The checkbox to Mark as Exported on Download is checked by default.  When this box is checked, each order that was downloaded will be marked as already exported.  Uncheck the box if you do not want orders marked as exported.

  9. If you want to Include Orders Already Exported, then check the box to include orders that were previously marked as exported.

  10. If you want to include orders that are not paid, check the box next to Include Unpaid Orders.

  11. WorldShip® has a Quantum View Notification (QVN) feature available.  By checking the Enable Quantum View Notification (QVN) option, you can include this additional information in your export file.  For more information on UPS Quantum View Notification services, go here.

  12. Select whether you would like to UPS to notify your customers by checking the options for Shipment, Delivery, or Exception, and then selecting the Subject Line of your email.

  13. Use the Failure Notification Email field to send UPS and email which should be used in case of delivery notification failure.

  14. After making your field selections, click the START EXPORT button and wait for the process to complete.

  15. Wait while the export file is created and displayed within the Manage Export Files section.

  16. In the first column, the file name is shown.  An archived (.zip) file is automatically created for the exported product data.  The second column shows the actual size (in KB) of the product export file.

  17. In the last column, you can click the Download icon to copy the WorldShip export file to your local computer.  You can click the Delete icon to remove the file permanently.

    NOTE:

    After a backup, you can find your file in the \App_Data\DataExchange\Download\ folder.
