New Orders

You can create a new order for a customer from the Order Manager page.  You can also view a customer's basket and help them through the checkout.  

When you place an order for your customer, they will still receive an email confirmation and be able to login to their account and view their order information.

Create an Order (step 1)

To create a new order, click the NEW ORDER button shown on the Order Manager page.

  1. First, locate the customer that the order will be placed for by typing in the user's email, first name, or last name and clicking SEARCH.

  2. The results will be displayed.  Click the Select icon next to a user.

  3. This will create a new order with the user's current information.

  4. If the customer is unregistered, click the NEW CUSTOMER button to skip this step.

Add Products to an Order (step 2)

  1. Enter a 'Name' or 'SKU' into one of the fields provided.

  2. Click the SEARCH button to display all the products that meet the search criteria. 

  3. Click the ADD (+) icon to add the product to this basket.  You may change the price if needed. [New in R9]

  4. A new basket will appear with the order item shown.  You can modify the quantity, add or delete any product.

  5. If a product has options, or conditions which require data to be entered, a pop-up form will appear before the item can be added to the basket.

  6. Click the ADD TO ORDER button after selecting a quantity and choosing options.

  7. Repeat as needed until all items are in the order.

  8. You can adjust quantities and RECALCULATE or CLEAR ORDER by clicking the buttons provided.

  9. When you are ready to place the order, click the PLACE ORDER button.  

Place an Order (step 3)

  1. From Step 3 of the Create Order page, you will see two sections.

    • Billing/Shipping Addresses - If an existing user was selected, the Billing Address form will be filled in with their information.  

    • Order Contents - The basket contents are shown here.  You can edit the contents of the order.

  1. If the order is shipping to a different address, you can change the Ship To field to select one from the user's address book, or create a new one.

  2. If it doesn't exist, you can enter the applicable information into the fields provided.

  3. If the shipping address is different, enter it into the Shipping Address section.  Otherwise, check the box 'Same As Billing Address'.

  4. Once an address is associated with the order, you can choose a shipping method.  Click the REFRESH button if you change the address and want to update the real-time shipping services and rates. 

Payment and Shipping for the Order (step 4)

  1. On the last step, you will need to select a shipping method if the order has shippable items.

  2.  Before making payment, you should apply any coupons first.

  3. If you are going to place the order now and collect payment later, click the DEFER PAYMENT button to finalize the order.

  4. Otherwise, choose one of the available payment methods and make the payment accordingly.
