SEO Settings

Search Engine Optimization settings like redirects and custom URLs requires incoming requests to be checked and routed to the correct destination.  When custom extentions are enabled, your redirects and custom URLs can use extensions other than .aspx.

Search Engine Settings

  1. From the SEO page, or from the top-menu, go to Configure > SEO> Settings.

  2. From the SEO Settings page, you will see two configuration sections.

  3. In the General section, you can set the Cache Size.  The default value is 1000.  If you have a large number of custom URLs and an extremely active site, you can increase this value as needed.

  4. The Enable Statistics Tracking option can be used to record each redirect and the date and time it happened.  There is a slight processing overhead, so you can disable this feature if you do not intend on using it.

  5. In the Custom Extensions section, you can take advantage of a feature that allows you to use a different extension for your file names.  So for example, instead of files ending with .aspx, they can be automatically renamed to .htm

  6. Click the SAVE SETTINGS button when finished.
