Manage Digital GoodsDigital Goods are the objects that define a digital file download and how it is configured to work with the products in your store. The digital goods can have a License Agreement and Readme for a complete download application. Use the automated validation and fulfillment options with email to easily send license keys or information on downloading. From the top-menu, go to Catalog > Digital Goods. An example Manage Digital Goods page is shown below.
The Digital Goods management page has two sections. The top section is a search form where you can perform a number of actions, such as: Quick Search - Click on the linked letter to see only digital goods with a name beginning with that letter. Digital Name - You can enter a complete or partial digital good name and click the SEARCH button to find the matching records displayed in the grid below. File Name - You can also search by File Name. This is the physical file that is associated to the digital good. A digital good can have more than one associated file. The bottom part of the page will display any digital goods that have been created. The first column, Name, shows a linked digital good name. The link will take you to the edit digital good page where you can view or change the configuration and settings. The second column, File, shows the name of each physical file that is associated to the digital good. You can click the download icon to test. If the download icon doesn't appear, then the physical file no longer exists in the location it is expected to be. In the Products column, a counter indicates the number of products that are associated to the Digital Good. You need to associate products to the Digital Good so they can be purchased and/or downloaded by the user. In the Orders column, another counter will indicate any orders that were placed with a product that is associated to a digital good. In the last column, you can modify settings and configuration for the Digital Good by clicking the EDIT icon. The COPY icon creates a duplicate of the Digital Good, but does not associate the new digital good to a product. Click the DELETE icon to delete the Digital Good and any product or order associations, or license keys, if used. Assigning Products to Digital Goods
