Available Upgrades

AbleCommerce has a system for providing upgrades within the Merchant Administration. To see if there are any upgrade available for your installation, go to Upgrades > Available Upgrades using the admin menu.

If there are no upgrades available, you will see a screen similar to the one shown below.

If an upgrade is available, then you will see something like this instead.
 

• Title: The name of the upgrade.

• Description: indicates if you are eligible to upgrade.

• Type: indicates if the release requires a valid subscription, or if the upgrade is a free patch.

• Version: the version and build number of the upgrade file.

• Date: the date of release which must be before or on the day of your license key subscription date.

• MD5 is a key used to make sure the file you are downloading hasn't been corrupted. This is an optional step which requires that you download and install md5.exe and run it against the AbleCommerce upgrade .zip file download. If it matches the key, then it is safe to extract.

• From the Action column, you can Download the file and the Instructions for next steps. The instructions are specific to each release, so make sure to follow the steps carefully.

From the top-right corner of the page, you can click on the Upgrade Log button which takes you to the Upgrades > Past Upgrades page.
