OVERVIEW 
		 OF CHANGES
		September 2017 Rate and Name Change 
		 
		The U.S. Postal Service announced that it will increase its rates 
		 on First-Class Mail® Parcels (FCM Parcels) by a weighted average 
		 of 9.9 percent, effective September 3, 2017. 
		 
		The Postal Regulatory Commission's approved the reclassification 
		 of First-Class Mail Parcels as retail prices for First-Class™ 
		 Package Services (FCPS). 
		Starting September 3rd, 2017: 
		
		Patch Includes:  
		Updated ~\App_Data\uspsmethods.csv 
		OPTIONAL - If you already have a current list of USPS shipping 
		 methods, you may optionally update your existing uspsmethods.csv 
		 file by following the instructions in the last 
		 section of this document.  There is one line changed. 
		  
		
			
			
				Instructions to apply the 
				 USPS Patch to AbleCommerce Gold
				1. Download: uspsmethods_Sept_2017.zip 
				  MD5: 
				 9e2ce1665576e24ad8a046a36426db7d 
				2  Using the MD5 checksum number provided, you 
				 can verify the integrity of the download before extraction 
				 (see below).  This step is optional to ensure the 
				 download is valid. 
				TO VERIFY THE DOWNLOAD: 
				a.  Go to WinMD5.com 
				 or any other utility that can provide checksum validation. 
				b.  Download and Run 
				 the utility. 
				c.  Select the downloaded 
				 file. 
				d.  In the field provided, 
				 past the original MD5 value provided by AbleCommerce help 
				 site, and click Verify. 
				e.  If the validation 
				 fails, do NOT install the patch.  Instead, contact 
				 support for help. 
				3. Extract the file to the ~\App_Data\ folder of your 
				 installation. 
				4. You may need to restart IIS or recycle the application 
				 pool. 
				5. Login to your Merchant Menu. 
				6. Go to the Configure > Shipping > Integrated 
				 Carriers page and edit the USPS configuration. 
				7. Remove the existing configuration for "USPS 
				 First-Class Mail Parcel". 
				8. Now add the updated one "USPS First-Class Package 
				 Service - Retail". 
				9. Save changes. 
				10. Run a quick test by using the shipping estimate 
				 form with an eligible product.

		1. Make a backup of the "uspsmethods.csv" 
		 file in the /app_data/ 
		 folder. 
		2. Open the CSV file. 
		NOTE: You may need to stop the website 
		 if the file is in use. 
		 
		If you have trouble using Excel and saving the CSV file, then you 
		 may optionally rename the file to a .txt, make the change, then 
		 rename back to .csv. 
		3. Make the following change to Row 13 
		CHANGE 
		 FROM - 
		First-Class Mail<sup>&reg;</sup> 
		 Parcel|USPS First-Class Mail Parcel 
		CHANGE 
		 TO - 
		First-Class Package Service 
		 - Retail<sup>&trade;</sup>|USPS 
		 First-Class Package Service - Retail 
		4. After making the change to the CSV file, you must recycle 
		 the application, or restart the website. 
		5. Login to your Merchant Menu. 
		6. Next, go to the Configure > Shipping > Integrated Carriers 
		 page and edit the USPS configuration.  
		7. Remove the existing configuration for "USPS First-Class 
		 Mail Parcel". 
		8. Now add the updated one "USPS First-Class Package Service 
		 - Retail". 
		9. Save changes. 
		10. Run a quick test by using the shipping estimate form with 
		 an eligible product.
