Patch to Service Release AbleCommerce 5.5 CFMX - 1b

After the release of AbleCommerce 5.5 CFMX - SR1a (build 1382), certain defects were identified in the production code that were significant enough to warrant a second update.  Versions of AbleCommerce 5.5 CFMX build 1357 can be upgraded directly to the SR1a release and then, this patch should also be applied.  If you have already upgraded to SR1a build 1382, you do not have to complete the entire upgrade.  Instead, you can directly install the patched files to bring your installation up to SR1b.

NOTE: If you install this Jar file patch, it will also include the issues corrected in the AbleCommerce 5.5 CFMX - 1a patch.  See  Technical Bulletin - SR1 patch to SR1a for more information and a list of issues that are also fixed with this prior release.

 

 

AbleCommerce 5.5 SR1b Change Report:

The SR1b patch corrects the following issues found between builds 1383 and 1385.  Or, you can view the complete list of issues fixed in Service Release 1.

4519 - If weight has fractional part estimate shipping does not work (fixed build 1383+)

4523 - Discover card validation not working (fixed build 1384+)

4529 - SkipJack gateway not receiving order number (fixed build 1384+)

4530 - DinersClub/Carte Blanche card validation not working (fixed build 1384+)

4531 - EnRoute card validation not working (fixed build 1384+)

4532 - JCB card validation  not working (fixed build 1384+)

4539 - SQL Syntax error trying to delete anonymous users (re-fixed in build 1386)

4544 - When an option with ESD files is deleted, its file record is orphaned (fixed build 1385+)

 

SR1b PATCH INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Using the link in the top section, download the build1382jars.zip file, and extract to a temporary location on the server.

  2. Copy the two jar files, 'ablecommerce55_b_1385.jar' and  'ablecommerce55L_b_1385.jar', to wwwroot/WEB-INF/lib folder of your CFMX server

  3. Stop CFMX Server

  4. Remove 'ablecommerce55_b_1382.jar' and 'ablecommerce55L_b_1382.jar' from wwwroot/WEB-INF/lib folder of your CFMX server

  5. Restart CFMX server

 

Manually Updating your Build ID:

It is good practice to keep your build numbers in-sync with any Jar file updates.  To do this, a single file update is required.  Follow the instructions below to update your build to 1385.

  1. Find the "ablecommerce.properties" file located in the root of your AbleCommerce installation.

  2. Open in a standard text editor and find this line:  BuildNumber=1382

  3. Change the build number as shown:  BuildNumber=1385

  4. Save and close your file.  The correct build number is now applied to your installation.
