Upgrade to AbleCommerce 9.0.1

What you need to do before upgrading (do not skip this!)

1. Create a backup of your database.

2. Create a backup of all application files.

1) Download AbleCommerce upgrade file

A new feature in version 9 allows you to see all available upgrades for an installation.

The download, with its corresponding readme file, will be shown if you are eligible for an upgrade. Follow the instructions below.

1. To obtain the download, login to the Merchant Menu for the AbleCommerce installation being upgraded.  

2. Using the admin menu, go to Upgrades > Available Upgrades.

3. Find the upgrade for the next version. It will be labeled "AbleCommerce Upgrade to 9.0.1"

4. Download the .zip file to a temporary location, and extract the contents.

5. If you do not see the available download,

1. Confirm your current version is 9.0.0.5588.
   
   

2. Confirm your license key is valid for the upgrade:
   
   - The license type must be either LIVE or DEVELOPMENT, and
   - Subscription End date must be on or after the date of release, 10/25/2019.
   
   
   

2) Upgrade Instructions

1. Return to the admin menu page Upgrades > Available Upgrades.

2. Click the Instructions button from the Action column, or access from this link.

3. Open the file and read the entire document through.

4. Complete the instructions for upgrading, making sure to complete any post-upgrade steps.
   
   If you receive errors during or after the upgrade, please post a message to the AbleCommerce Forums or open a support ticket by logging in to your account.
