People

Within your store, there will be several types of people and their roles.  Using the built-in permissions for store administration, different users that can be given limited or full  access to certain areas of the Merchant Menu.  This is useful if you have different people working independently in the store management areas.

The User Group feature is a powerful tool within AbleCommerce.  By creating your own custom groups, you can easily offer special pricing, payment methods, shipping and much more, to only the members of the specified group.  For example, you can setup a Purchase Order payment method that would only be available to customers who have been pre-approved and part of the selected group.

This chapter covers user management, new user registrations, and member groups.  Additionally, there are other types of people in AbleCommerce like Vendors and Manufacturers.  These are used for simple features, like drop-shipping by Vendor, and Manufacturers can be used offer more search options your customers.

The last section covers Affiliates.  AbleCommerce includes a built-in integration with AffiliateWiz.com, which is third-party software.  As well, you can use the auto-signup feature to create new Affiliates using any of the persistence and commission settings available.
