Page Tracking

On the internet, almost everything you do is tracked.  Each user's browser, location, and page views are recorded in a website's log files.  Page Tracking is a feature in AbleCommerce, it is on by default.  This means that user data is being stored in your database.  AbleCommerce automatically performs maintenance to the database.  This includes removing old user data and optionally archiving the information to log files.

When you use page tracking, you can see statistics about what categories and products are popular. It will also enable customers to see their recently viewed items.

In it's raw form, this data collected about the user is not very useful unless you are looking for something specific.  For a merchant who wants to view charts, graphs, and statistics, then you need more than raw log files.  After you sign-up for a FREE account, you can easily integrate your AbleCommerce page tracking data with Google Analytics.  Just enter your ID and follow the implementation instructions, and soon you'll be tracking valuable information for making those important marketing budget decisions.
