Data Exchange Maintenance

When you are using the Data Exchange feature, you may create several files when doing imports and exports.  The Data Exchange maintenance feature allows you to remove the excess files automatically.  Of course, you can still manually delete any file, but by enabling this feature, it will take care of any data files by using the settings you enter.  By default, all data file maintenance is disabled.

Close the Store for Maintenance

1. From the Configure Maintenance page or using the top-menu, go to Configure > Store > Maintenance.

2. Find the Data Exchange section as shown in the example below.  NEW in R4
   
   

2. To enable automatic removal of Exported Data files, enter values for maximum number of files to save, and/or maximum age of files, and/or the maximum size of folder containing the stored files created by export feature.

3. You can repeat the process for automatic removal of imported data files.

4. Click the SAVE SETTINGS button when finished.
