AbleCommerce Gold System Requirements

AbleCommerce shopping cart is a commercial ecommerce application designed for easy installation to your website.  A full 30 day evaluation with free software and installation support is included. To obtain support, login to your customer account and click on the Support tab.

AbleCommerce simply requires that your website be capable of running Asp.Net applications, and that you have a Microsoft SQL database.  AbleCommerce can be securely installed to shared hosting facilities that require medium trust applications.

Software Requirements

The AbleCommerce application totals around 60mb in size with over 8500 files.  Using FTP or similar, the software is uploaded to the website and installation requires a connection to a new empty database.  The computer's hardware and software must meet the same minimum requirements given for the Microsoft .NET Framework.

The list below indicates each component required for the installation, and additional supported options for each.

1. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2, or Windows Server 2016

1. • 64 bit operating systems supported

   • Internet Information Server (IIS) versions 7 and 7.5 supported

   • Minimum of 4GB RAM, recommended 8+GB depending on server resources
     

2. A website using one of Microsoft's Asp.Net Application Frameworks -

1. • Asp.Net 4.0

   • Asp.Net 4.5

   • Asp.Net 4.6.2 (recommended)
     
     Support for TLS 1.2 requires additional changes depending on the version of Asp.Net in use.  Please see Enabling Support for TLS 1.2
     

3. A new (empty) Microsoft SQL database for data storage.
   The following versions are supported:

1. • SQL Server 2017

   • SQL Server 2016

   • SQL Server 2014

   • SQL Server 2012

   • SQL Server 2008 R2

   • SQL Server Express**

** Microsoft's SQL Express is a free, easy-to-use, lightweight version of SQL Server.  Download

     Integrated Pipeline mode is required for charts and web-api to work
     
     * NSoftware's E-Payments component will not work under medium trust.

AbleCommerce can also be run from local systems in order to work with a development tool like Visual Studio. AbleCommerce is compatible with Visual Studio 2010 and higher and supports both WSP and WAP.

• AbleCommerce can be installed to most shared hosting environments.  Before installing, please check with your host to make sure the server meets the minimum system requirements and that the necessary software is installed.

AbleCommerce is installed and fully administered with a web browser.

• AbleCommerce's merchant administration is currently supporting the latest versions of IE, Firefox and Chrome.

• Most browsers can be used for the retail shopping side of AbleCommerce. (IE9 and later)  

• Cookies are required.
